NEVER JUST I is a solo performance by Evie Demetriou that explores the complexities of identity and lived experience. Navigating through the different roles as a woman, mother, and daughter, she crafts an intimate, raw, and deeply human work that resonates beyond the personal.
This performance is a journey through vulnerability, guilt, aliveness, and strength. It invites the audience into a space where fragility meets resilience, where the deeply personal becomes political. The atmosphere oscillates between humor and emotional honesty, creating a space that is at once fun, vulnerable, sincere, and defiant.
At its core, NEVER JUST I highlights female resilience, courage, and the forces that shape women’s lives. Through high-energy physicality, confessional storytelling, and playfulness, it challenges notions of individualism, offering an invitation to embrace collective strength and agency.
