Role of the audience

A documentary giving an insight into the choreographic process and the outcome of the performance Unusual Suspects, an interactive performance which relies on the audience participation. Through interviews of the choreographer and audience that participated in performances in Limassol, Bucharest, Riga, Sinop, Karlastad the documentary raises questions on the limit between performer and audience. Unusual Suspects is a performance created and performed by the Cypriot choreographer Evie Demetriou. It explores the need and desire for an ideal partner and an ideal relationship and the fear of being alone. The performer while looking for a partner invites audience members to go on stage and spend time with her.
