genes and tonic
a solo performance by Evie Demetriou
The performance questions the relationship of the past and identity. How much the past has a say in our present? Do our genes matter ? Are we free to choose our own destiny? Taking the role of a wannabe DJ the performer travels the audience from her own memories of the past to the present. Creating a humorous and uplifting environment she combines movement and text , some times in conventional forms and other times through rap and other interactive elements.
